Privacy Policy

The short version: Super Prompter does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server. Your API key and all settings stay on your device. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no data collection.

1. Who We Are

Super Prompter is a free AI prompt engineering tool developed by AI Guerrilla. It is available as a website at sprompter.com and as a Chrome browser extension.

2. What Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:

No analytics or tracking scripts — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party trackers of any kind.
No cookies — we do not set any cookies.
No server-side data storage — we do not operate any backend servers or databases that store user information.
No user accounts on our servers — email login is used solely for optional newsletter signup and is processed by Beehiiv (see Section 6).

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Super Prompter stores the following data locally on your device only using your browser's built-in local storage (for the website) and chrome.storage.sync (for the extension):

Google Gemini API Key — the API key you enter to power prompt generation. This key is stored exclusively on your device and is never sent to any server other than Google's Generative Language API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com).
User Preferences — your selected prompt category, theme settings, and other application preferences.
Email Address (optional) — if you choose to log in, your email is stored locally to personalize your experience. It is not sent to our servers.

You can clear all locally stored data at any time using the "Clear All Data" button in Settings.

4. How Your API Key Is Used

When you generate a prompt, Super Prompter sends your request directly from your browser to Google's Generative Language API using your own API key. The request flow is:

Your Browser → Google Gemini API → Your Browser

Your API key and prompt data are never routed through, intercepted by, or stored on any Super Prompter server. We have no ability to see, access, or log your API key or generated prompts.

5. Third-Party Services

Super Prompter interacts with the following third-party services:

Google Generative Language API — to generate prompts using your own API key. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — to load the Space Grotesk typeface on the website. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services receive your data.

6. Newsletter Signup (Optional)

When you log in with your email, you may optionally subscribe to the AI Guerrilla newsletter. If you check the newsletter box, your email address is sent to Beehiiv (our newsletter platform) to process the subscription. This is the only circumstance under which your email leaves your device. You can uncheck the box to skip newsletter signup entirely.

The newsletter is managed by Beehiiv and subject to Beehiiv's Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

7. Chrome Extension Permissions

The Super Prompter Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

storage — to save your API key and preferences locally using chrome.storage.sync, allowing settings to persist across browser sessions.
activeTab — to inject generated prompts into the text input fields of supported AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) when you click the "Insert" button. This only activates when you interact with the extension and only affects the currently active tab.
Host permission (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) — to make API calls to Google's Gemini API from the extension's service worker.

No other permissions are requested. The extension does not read your browsing history, track your activity, or access website content beyond the supported AI platforms listed above.

8. Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party. We do not have any data to share — we simply don't collect it.

9. Children's Privacy

Super Prompter is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Super Prompter after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
